Various Rootbeer and GMO strains have been handed to us to try down the years, and although they were always good, none of them quite tickled our taint in the way GMO Rootbeer by Mean Gene (Freeborn Selections)/Skunktek did. Nico was a bit of a fiend when it came to pushing for us to work the line, he’s been a fully on board the savoury goodness train for GMO for a very, very long time, and the combination of sassafras and sweetness from the Rootbeer sent his mind into overdrive. The fact she’s known for her incredible washing potential, which is usually a S-tier attribute to have, simply became a box ticking exercise given the rest of her vast potential.
Toof Decay has been a longstanding little gem of a strain, often overlooked, even by us, but her lineage is felt through the catalogue, and her track-record of hits is nothing to be scoffed at. Her profile of funk and complex sweetness paired perfectly with the GMO Rootbeer and she helped tame the unruly legginess of the GMORB.
Root Beer, along with a community-tested selection of F1 Limited Editions, will be dropping on the 26th October at 1pm EU, 12pm UK, 8am Eastern, 5am Pacific. (DST takes effect in the UK & Europe 1 week before the US!)

But enough of that, let’s get down with a bit of the strain description:
Seed Type
F5 Feminised Automatic
Genetic Heritage
GMO Rootbeer [Mean Gene (Freeborn Selections)/Skunktek] x Toof Decay
“Quite a good scene, isn't it? Tim, crazy; Meph Heads the very sane spectators! It’s alive! It’s alive! Oh, in the name of God! Now I know what it feels like to be God!”
Too much? Probably. But double-lock your back door and check under the bed anyway, because Root Beer is here, and she is very much alive. Creeping out of the static of an old-school CRT and into a grow tent near you, she’s on hand to be the fog machine to your cabin in the woods.

When Mitch & Nico first got their hands on the legendary GMO Rootbeer photoperiod cut, it felt like unearthing the Necronomicon. We’re not entirely sure of the summoning rituals Mean Gene and Skunktek had to do to create this beast of a photoperiod, but we quickly became fully paid-up members of the cult, worshipping at the terpene altar. The combo of the classic GMO garlic funk and sweet herbal sassafras beat our tastebuds into submission, and the intense body high had us clawing around like a pair of ghouls at the roller disco.

Root Beer carves out its own bloody trail in our catalogue because there is literally nothing like it on our flavour wheel. Tim was naturally skeptical about the terpene profile, he’s never been afraid to admit his genuine deathly fear of mushrooms. Whenever it came time for a taste session, he’d suggest going to The Winchester, having a nice cold pint and waiting for this whole thing to blow over. But once we popped the jar for him and he got his nostrils filled with a slap of rich milk chocolate, dark cola, and that classic savoury GMO something-or-other, he was leaping fences to get his hands on more. She’s deeply relaxing, but functional; easing body tension but keeping the mind clear; double the dose though and she becomes a certified creeper sleeper. Is it too early to call it the best drop since MephistO’z? Jimbo doesn’t think so; he’s banging the drum for this one.

Root Beer also has its counterpart strain sticker, done by Canadian artist KillerKrayon. He's provided artwork for Bear Force One, Rainbow Sundae 11 and our recent Mephmosa release.

Tester Spotlight: Root Beer
Grower: SilentJ17

Medium: Coast of Maine seed starter | Lighting: 2 Spider farmer se5000s with UV, IR and deep red supplemental lighting and vivosun under canopy lighting | Container: Gorilla grow tent 5 gal fabric pots on vivosun wick bases
Nutes: Dr earth homegrown top dressed during veg and dr earth flower girl top dressed during flower. Recharge tea top watered weekly and ro water in the bases with rotations of just water and water with GH silica and cal mag added
Training: Leaf tucking, late defoliation and super cropping on one main cola to keep out of the lights | Cycle: 70-79 days | Height: 58+ inches (~146cm+)
Plant Shape / Structure: Pheno 1 exceeded 60 inches before supercropping to 58 inches; smaller, heavily frosted buds. Pheno 2 measured 41 inches tall x 29 inches wide, with larger, very dense flowers.
Yield: Pheno 1 was the hash plant, it came in at 466.83 grams of fresh frozen, then washed for a total of 22.48 grams of bubble hash. %4.82 return. Pheno 2 was dried and cured for flower and yielded 132.41 grams.
Aroma: During grow: Musty, dank funk with sweet cream, developing herbal sarsaparilla as flowers swelled. After harvest: Flower: sarsaparilla, pine, pepper, chocolate, earthy root beer, medicinal herbs and vanilla. Rosin: savoury-sour GMO funk, onion, garlic, pepper and spice under light sweetness.
Effects: Heavy head and body effects, deep relaxation, sleepiness and appetite; some short-term memory disruption. SilentJ17 also reported relief of aching muscles.
Notes: Novice difficulty reported. Extra nutrients were recorded in this run. The tallest plant was supercropped to clear the lights. SilentJ17 valued both flower and hash results. Trichome production: 5/5; Trim ease: 5/5; Would grow again: 5/5.
SilentJ17’s Root Beer had clearly been spending some overtime in the mountain lab, with two big, frosty phenotypes that took quite different shapes. The taller girl pushed past 60 inches before supercropping and wore smaller flowers so thickly coated they looked almost white, while her shorter sister built much larger, super-dense buds. The flower opened with sarsaparilla, pine and chocolate, then moved into earthy root beer, pepper and medicinal herbs, while the rosin put the savoury GMO side front and centre with garlic, onion and a little sweetness around the edges. Both hit heavily for SilentJ17, bringing deep head-and-body relaxation, appetite and sleepiness, with some short-term memory disruption adding to that thoroughly stoned feeling.
Grower: Indo

Medium: Coco | Lighting: LED | Container: 3.9 gallon plastic
Nutes: Athena Blended
Training: Pinch & roll | Cycle: 80-89 days | Height: 40-45 inches (~101-115cm)
Plant Shape / Structure: Main cola dominant
Yield: 319 grams
Aroma: During grow: The plant gave some heavy sarsaparilla early on and early flower gave a definitive root beer smell. That root beer smell carried well into flower but late in flower near chop was giving burnt rubber. After chopping the rubber immediately faded, the sarsaparilla did as well but not completely. Smells leaned heavy into GMO. After chopping the GMO smacks you in the face and you have to look for those backend smells. After harvest: GMO, sarsaparilla. Flavour carries GMO with hints of sarsaparilla.
Effects: The smoke is top notch. Super stoney feeling backed with a powerful body high. The high has some legs too so you don’t have to light joint after joint
Notes: Novice difficulty reported; Indo found the run very easy. Upright side branches needed spacing. Indo described strong resilience in this run. Trichome production: 4/5; Trim ease: 5/5; Would grow again: 5/5. Indo called this the favourite drop of the last couple of years and a contender for a personal favourite strain.
Indo’s Root Beer started out like a familiar soda-shop order, then let the monster out of the jar after harvest. Heavy sarsaparilla became unmistakable root beer in early flower, picked up burnt rubber near the finish, and finally settled into a much louder GMO funk with the herbal sweetness tucked behind it; the flavour carried that same savoury GMO character with hints of sarsaparilla. She built a main-cola-dominant frame with dense flowers and upright side branches that needed spreading, but Indo otherwise found the grow extremely easy and described her as very resilient in this run. The smoke delivered a powerful body high and a deeply stoney feeling with plenty of staying power, putting Root Beer firmly among Indo’s favourites. Indo called this the favourite drop of the last couple of years.
Grower:Terpenetix

Medium: Coco | Lighting: LED | Container: 2.2g
Nutes: Athena Blended
Training: LST | Cycle: 80-89 days | Height: 40-45 inches (~101-115cm)
Plant Shape / Structure: Tall, bushy
Yield: 9oz
Aroma: During grow: Sarsaparilla, Chemical Cleaner. After harvest: Sarsaparilla, Chem Cleaner.
Effects: Indica leaning effects, relaxing but not sedative
Notes: Novice difficulty reported; Terpenetix found the grow easy. Trichome production: 4/5; Trim ease: 3/5; Would grow again: 5/5.
Terps’s Root Beer kept one foot in the soda shop and the other in the mountain lab, pairing herbal sarsaparilla with a sharp chemical-cleaner edge. That unusual combination stayed consistent through the grow and after cure, giving this specimen a clear identity without a long list of competing flavours. In coco she grew tall and bushy, finished in the reported 80–89 day window at around 40–45 inches, and carried plenty of frost on a plant Terp found easy to grow. The reported nine-ounce yield rounded out a straightforward run, while the effects leaned into body relaxation without tipping into sedation for Terpenetix.
Grower: Modkins

Medium: Happy frog soil, COM seed starter , extra perlite | Lighting: 24/7 240W LED | Container: 2 gal
Nutes: Cronk nutrients
Training: Nothing | Cycle: 80-89 days | Height: 40-45 inches (~101-115cm)
Plant Shape / Structure: Main cola dominant , built like Christmas tree, multiple main colas, dense tight flowers from what I can tell so far Pink-purple colour developed through the fade.
Aroma: During grow: Gassy earlier on and late in flower more sweet and spicy.
Notes: Intermediate difficulty reported; extra nutrients were recorded. These are in-progress observations. Trichome production: 5/5; Trim ease: 4/5; Would grow again: 5/5.
Modkins’ Root Beer was putting on her late-flower costume, with a pink-purple fade starting to show through a strong coat of frost. Left untrained, she built a Christmas-tree frame around a dominant main cola, with several prominent branches and flowers that were looking tight and dense at the time of the report. The aroma changed with the scene, starting gassy before turning sweeter and spicier later in flower, with a high aroma-strength rating to match. Modkins recorded extra nutrient demand and intermediate difficulty, but the colour and trichome coverage were the real talking points in these in-progress observations, with frost earning a 5/5.
Grower: @zer0tolerance0

Medium: Coco | Lighting: Led | Container: 25oz
Nutes: Jack's nutrients
Training: Lst, bonsai format | Cycle: 90-99 days | Height: 22-27inches (~56-70cm)
Plant Shape / Structure: Large flowers top to bottom
Aroma: During grow: Chemmy Rubber. After harvest: A little more sweet and developed, but still primarily chemmy rubber.
Notes: Novice difficulty reported. Mother and clones produced dense, frosty flowers, including shaded flowers. The 3/5 grow-again score reflects a preference for fruity profiles, rather than dissatisfaction with performance. Trichome production: 5/5; Trim ease: 5/5; Would grow again: 3/5.
Zer0 kept this Root Beer monster in a bonsai-sized frame, but the flowers still came through thick, dense and heavily frosted from top to bottom. In a 25-ounce container with extensive LST, the reported mother and clones carried plenty of aroma, and even the shaded flowers stayed large and frosty. Chemmy rubber dominated the grow and remained the main character after cure, gaining a little sweetness and depth without losing that sharp identity. The 3/5 grow-again score came down to taste rather than plant performance: Zer0 mainly vapes and prefers fruitier profiles, while still describing this as a great plant that handled a lot of training well.

Grower: AutoFlowerFluff

Medium: BioChar and Soil | Lighting: Spider Farmer G4500 (430 watt model) | Container: 3gallon self watering
Nutes: Dr Earth Flower Girl and Super Thrive 4-4-4
Training: Super cropped | Cycle: 70-79 days | Height: 40-45 inches (~101-115cm)
Plant Shape / Structure: Massive plants, mine would have been 5ft tall at the main if I didn't super crop
Yield: 6oz
Aroma: During grow: Had a really herbal note during grow, along the lines of gentian root that started to develop into more of an ammonia chem funk mid to late flower. After harvest: GARLIC CHEM FUNK (4/4 IN CANNATROL STANDARD SETTINGS).
Effects: It's pretty deep for a haze cross, it's put me to bed twice. I imagine the less sativa driven root beers will be a HARD hitting stones. 28 Haze Later is more for seasoned stoners day time smoke, or a fun party smoke by the fire with your friends.
Notes: Intermediate difficulty reported; light nutrient demand. AutoFlowerFluff estimated the main would have reached around five feet without supercropping. Heavy effects included falling asleep twice. Trichome production: 5/5; Trim ease: 4/5; Would grow again: 3/5.
Fluff’s 28 Haze Later brought the kind of garlic-chem funk that could make an abandoned street feel a little more abandoned. She was a tall specimen, supercropped to contain a main stem the grower estimated would otherwise have reached around five feet, and finished with a heavy coat of frost and a reported six-ounce yield. The nose began herbal, closer to gentian root, before an ammonia-like chem character developed through flower and gave way to loud garlic funk after cure. Fluffer found plenty to enjoy in this haze cross, but the effects had a heavier side than the name might suggest, having sent them to bed twice despite also being described as sociable smoke. No rage virus required for this one to make her presence felt.
Grower: JBgrowing

Medium: Living soil | Lighting: 300 watt vivosun | Container: 15 gal
Nutes: Buildasoil
Training: Natural | Cycle: 80-89 days | Height: 46-51 inches (~116-130cm)
Plant Shape / Structure: Christmas tree
Yield: 213 Grams
Aroma: Sweaty funk early in flower changed to sweet mango purée. After cure, pungent mango and skunky haze remained, with overripe mango on the exhale.
Effects: JBgrowing described an alert, focused high with a noticeable but manageable body buzz.
Notes: Novice difficulty reported; JBgrowing found the run easy. Finished at 51 inches tall and 36 inches wide, with dense flowers even at the bottom. Trichome production: 5/5; Trim ease: 5/5; Would grow again: 5/5.
JB’s 28 Haze Later brought a lively twist to the outbreak, trading an early sweaty-feet funk for sweet mango purée as flower progressed. She grew into a 51-inch Christmas tree with a 36-inch spread, carrying solid, dense flowers right down to the lower branches, with bright orange hairs standing out against light-green buds. After cure, ripe mango stayed up front with a traditional skunky-haze edge, and the exhale carried that raw, overripe fruit character into the flavour. JB found the run easy and the smoke alert and almost caffeinated, with a calm, focused headspace and a noticeable body buzz that still felt manageable. This particular deserted-London soundtrack came with mango on the exhale.

Grower: @zer0tolerance0

Medium: Coco | Lighting: Led | Container: 110oz
Nutes: Jack's nutrients
Training: Topping, lst | Cycle: 80-89 days | Height: 40-45 inches (~101-115cm)
Plant Shape / Structure: Tall and even structured with large flowers down to bottom
Yield: 4oz+
Aroma: During grow: Orange zest.
Notes: Novice difficulty reported. Large, dense flowers and frost were observed throughout the plant at light levels below 30 DLI in this setup. Trichome production: 5/5; Trim ease: 5/5; Would grow again: 5/5.
Zeros’s Canna Fever brought bright orange zest to the cabin, with an even, tall frame carrying large flowers all the way down. In coco, topping and LST helped shape a plant that finished in the reported 80–89 day window at around 40–45 inches, with more than four ounces recorded. The grower singled out the dense flowers, aroma and frost throughout the plant despite light levels below 30 DLI in this setup, so the lower branches still had something to show for themselves. It was rated a novice-level run, with trichome production, trim ease and willingness to grow again all landing at 5/5. A cabin-in-the-woods visitor with orange zest in place of a knock at the door.

Grower: SmokinTehHerbz (u/stl_ent)

Medium: coco | Lighting: LED - Mammoth Mint 6 | Container: 5 gallon
Nutes: Jack Nutrients
Training: Leaf Tuck, Trellis Net | Cycle: 80-89 days | Height: 28-33inches (~71-85cm)
Plant Shape / Structure: Pheno 1: taller flower stacks, less bushy, moderate stretch and extremely dense spiralling flowers. Pheno 2: bushier, broad fan leaves, less stretch and slightly less dense flowers.
Yield: 381 & 350 grams dry
Aroma: During grow: Extremely dank, musky, earthy filled the grow space. Found the aroma hard to describe until after the cure. After harvest: Pheno 1: dark-soda vanilla on the stem rub, burnt-rubber flower aroma, and earthy mushroom with spicy garlic in dabs. Pheno 2: sweeter GMO funk with a lingering root-beer exhale.
Notes: Intermediate difficulty reported. Both phenotypes produced dense flowers, with a bushier Root Beer-leaning plant and taller flower stacks on the Dosi-leaning plant. Trichome production: 5/5; Trim ease: 4/5; Would grow again: 5/5.
Check out SmokinTehHerbz Seed to Harvest on YouTube here!!
SmokinTehHerbz’s Dosidious showed two distinct faces behind the same door, both bringing dense flowers and a serious coat of frost. The Dosi-leaning phenotype stacked taller, extremely dense flowers along spiralling branches, while the Root Beer-leaning plant stayed bushier with broad fan leaves, less stretch and slightly less density. Across the pair, the profile moved from dark-soda vanilla on a stem rub to burnt-rubber flower aromas, with earthy mushroom and fresh, spicy garlic coming through in the dabs. The sweeter phenotype still carried plenty of GMO funk and left a distinct root-beer note hanging on the exhale, with reported dry yields of 381 and 350 grams making these substantial individual results. One jar crack and the nose was already halfway into the Further.

Grower: Modkins

Medium: Happy frog soil, COM seed starter , extra perlite | Lighting: 24/7 240W LED | Container: 2 gal
Nutes: Cronk nutrients
Training: Heavy leaf tucking | Cycle: 70-79 days | Height: 34-39 inches (~86-100cm)
Plant Shape / Structure: Lots of main colas and dense , thick golf balls , mostly if not all dense buds from top to bottom , evenly spread out canopy from leaf tucking
Aroma: During grow: Very gassy , skunky, and funky overall smells like your in a dumpster and a stinky one.
Notes: Intermediate difficulty reported; extra nutrients were recorded. Modkins singled out the heavy trichome coverage and loud aroma. Trichome production: 5/5; Trim ease: 5/5; Would grow again: 5/5.
Modkins’ Nightmare on Fig Street was making its presence known well before lights out, filling the space with gas, skunk and the sort of dumpster funk that is hard to mistake for anything polite. Heavy leaf tucking spread the canopy evenly, leaving multiple leading colas and thick golf-ball flowers distributed from top to bottom. The flowers were mostly dense throughout, but it was the trichome coverage that really caught Modkins’ attention, earning a 5/5 alongside trim ease. This was recorded as an intermediate run with extra nutrient demand, and the combination of loud aroma and heavy frost gave the grower plenty to talk about. Freddy could have left the striped jumper at home; this one announced herself by smell.
Grower: Enduro

Medium: Organic soil with Build a Soil amendments | Lighting: 700W HLG LED | Container: 5 gallon fabric pot
Nutes: Build a Soil
Training: Leaf tucking, defoliation and supercropping | Cycle: 75 days | Height: 45 inches
Plant Shape / Structure: Tall plant with a large main cola and long-reaching branches. Enduro described her as beautiful and noted substantial size potential.
Yield: 150g
Aroma: Sharp, pungent funk reminiscent of GMO, with guava, tropical skunk and a creamy background. Strongly pungent during the grow; after cure, the sharp aroma was joined by tropical cream. An unlit draw gave a creamy tropical flavour, and Enduro described the smoke as exceptionally smooth and flavourful.
Effects: Strong and stony, with a heavy feeling behind the eyes. Enduro described the Root Beer and Guava combination as a knockout.
Notes: Fairly hands-off and easy in this run, with a pleasant overall grow experience. Top-dressing was done by feel rather than a fixed schedule. Overall rating: 5/5.
Enduro’s Nightmare on Fig Street brought a sharp, pungent funk that was already making itself known before lights out, with a GMO-like edge and tropical guava tucked into the background. She grew tall around a large main cola and long-reaching branches, finishing at 45 inches in 75 days with 150 grams recorded from a five-gallon fabric pot. Enduro found her fairly hands-off and easy, while the profile developed a creamy tropical side after cure that also came through on an unlit draw, like a familiar treat that stayed just out of reach. The smoke was exceptionally smooth in Enduro’s account, but the effects had plenty of weight behind them, landing heavily behind the eyes with a strong, stony feeling that earned an overall 5/5. A smooth entrance into dreamland, with a heavier presence waiting behind it.

Grower: Indo

Medium: Coco | Lighting: LED 645w | Container: 3.9 gallon plastic
Nutes: Athena Blended
Training: Pinch & roll | Cycle: 80-89 days | Height: 52-57 inches (~131-145cm)
Plant Shape / Structure: Main cola dominant, Christmas tree
Yield: 322 grams
Aroma: During grow: During the grow the smells had a nice sarsaparilla, fizzy soda. In flower the plant developed a more dominant sweet/creamy smell reminiscent of a cream soda with a bit of that Oz. After harvest: The cream soda scent remained changing the sarsaparilla to a Sassafras. Sweet creamy vanilla like notes but with a slight slice and notes of burnt rubber deep in the back end.
Effects: Great effects that hit rather quickly. Indica style high but without the couch lock. More sativa leaning in the sense that there is a motivated/energized feeling while still carrying that heavy stoned effect. This is one you can feel in your face
Notes: Novice difficulty reported; Indo found the plant easy to maintain through excessive heat and humidity. Indo’s impression of mould resistance comes from this run, rather than a demonstrated resistance trait. Trichome production: 4/5; Trim ease: 2/5; Would grow again: 5/5.
Indo’s PsychO'z had something sweeter than expected waiting behind the curtain, opening with fizzy sarsaparilla before cream soda became the dominant note in flower. She grew tall in a main-cola-led Christmas-tree shape, reaching the reported 52–57 inch range and producing 322 grams from a plant Indo found very easy to maintain. After cure, the soda character stayed put but became more creamy vanilla and sassafras, with a little spice and burnt rubber sitting deep in the background. The effects arrived quickly with a heavy stoned feeling that Indo could feel in the face, but still left a motivated, energised edge rather than an immediate appointment with the sofa. The Bates Motel had clearly added cream soda to the room-service menu.
Grower: 11th_Division_Grows

Medium: Soil - HP Promix | Lighting: LED | Container: 2gal
Nutes: House&Garden
Training: Topped @ 5th node | Cycle: 80-89 days | Height: 34-39 inches (~86-100cm)
Plant Shape / Structure: Colas stack really nice - my plant did not get huge like others but the buds swelled up to a really nice density.
Aroma: During grow: Musky garlic-crème funk.
Notes: Intermediate difficulty reported. In-progress observations; the grower noted nicely stacked colas and swelling, dense flowers despite a smaller plant than some other examples. Trichome production: 4/5; Trim ease: 4/5; Would grow again: 3/5.
11th’s PsychO'z was quietly building her own character behind the curtain, carrying a musky garlic-crème aroma with a savoury side already easy to pick out. At a reported 34–39 inches she was smaller than some other examples, but the colas were stacking nicely and the flowers were swelling into a pleasing density. This plant was topped at the fifth node in a two-gallon pot, with regular nutrient consumption and intermediate difficulty recorded for the run. The report is an in-progress look at the plant, with the grower’s strongest positives centred on the cola formation, dense flowers and trichome production rated 4/5. Mother might have had a few questions about that garlic-crème smell drifting downstairs.

Grower: Indo

Medium: Coco | Lighting: LED | Container: 3.9 gallon plastic
Nutes: Athena Blended
Training: Pinch & Roll | Cycle: 80-89 days | Height: 46-51 inches (~116-130cm)
Plant Shape / Structure: Main cola, Christmas tree, bushy
Yield: 329 grams
Aroma: During grow: Creamy candy strawberry that later in flower changed to a chem/candy strawberry with hints of bubblegum. After harvest: Smells - Chem, strawberry candy, bubblegum. Flavors same but a bit more creamy.
Effects: The smoke gives good body high that comes across quickly while the haze effects play to the mind. Creative smoke that can get you lost in thought.
Notes: Novice difficulty reported; Indo found the run easy. Large, dense buds stood out alongside the strawberry, chem and bubblegum profile. Trichome production: 4/5; Trim ease: 3/5; Would grow again: 5/5.
Indo’s SAW berry put a strawberry-sweet twist on the trap, starting creamy and candy-like before chem and bubblegum worked their way into the mix later in flower. She grew into a tall, bushy Christmas tree with a clear main cola and very large, dense flowers, finishing in the reported 80–89 day window with 329 grams recorded. The cured aroma kept the strawberry candy, chem and bubblegum together, while the flavour leaned a little creamier and stayed true to the nose. Indo found the run easy, and the smoke brought a quick body high with hazy, creative effects that could send the mind wandering off into its own little plot. Jigsaw’s puzzle came with strawberry sweets and bubblegum hidden among the pieces.

Grower: SilentJ17

Medium: Coast of Maine seed starter | Lighting: Spider farmer se5000s with uv, ir and deep red supplementals and vivosun under canopy lights | Container: 5 gallon gorilla fabric grow pot
Nutes: Dr earth homegrown, dr earth flower girl, recharge, GH silica and cal mag
Training: Leaf tucking and light defoliation in flower | Cycle: 60-69 days | Height: 40-45 inches (~101-115cm)
Plant Shape / Structure: Pheno 1: 41 inches tall x 30 inches wide, tall and bushy with large, heavily frosted buds. Pheno 2: 36 inches tall x 24 inches wide, with tight, dense popcorn-style buds.
Yield: Pheno 2 was my flower plant and after dry and cure I ended up with 92.53 grams. Pheno 1 was my hash plant and yielded 393.16g of wet bud, fresh frozen. After wash, a total of 11.57g of hash was produced for a %2.94 return
Aroma: During grow: In flower, both phenos had a sweet fruity bakery scent with pheno # 2 being a little more on the gassy side. After harvest: Flower: sweet-sour gas and tropical candy, with creamy vanilla and tartness in the flavour. Rosin: sour lemon-lime, melon, spice and funk, with melon and spice in the flavour.
Effects: Happy, relaxing effects; SilentJ17 found it manageable during the day and especially enjoyable after dinner.
Notes: Intermediate difficulty reported. Sensitive to early amendments, then hungrier around day 18. Flower became a daily favourite. Wash return was lower than hoped, and burst heads were observed. Trichome production: 5/5; Trim ease: 5/5; Would grow again: 5/5.
SilentJ17’s Sundae the 13th served up a double feature of frosty phenotypes, with sweet bakery aromas and a gassier edge on the smaller sister. The taller plant grew bushy with larger flowers, while the second stayed more compact and built tight, dense popcorn-style buds, both carrying plenty of trichomes. The flower leaned into creamy vanilla, tart tropical candy and gas, while the rosin told a slightly different story with sour lemon-lime, melon, spice and funk. SilentJ17 found the effects happy and relaxing enough for an after-dinner session, and although the wash return fell short of hopes, the flower became a daily favourite. Even Jason might have put the hockey mask down for a look at that dessert menu.
Grower: 11th_Division_Grows

Medium: HP Promix | Lighting: LED | Container: 2gal
Nutes: House&Garden
Training: Topped @ the 5th node | Cycle: 80-89 days | Height: 28-33inches (~71-85cm)
Plant Shape / Structure: Large golf ball nugs throughout the plant.
Aroma: During grow: Strong fruit sorbet with a mild musky-cream.
Notes: Intermediate difficulty reported; mild nitrogen sensitivity noted. These are in-progress observations. Trichome production: 4/5; Trim ease: 4/5; Would grow again: 4/5.
11th’s Sundae the 13th had fruit sorbet on the Camp Crystal Lake menu, with a strong fruity nose softened by a little musky cream. The in-progress plant was carrying large golf-ball flowers throughout its frame, staying in the reported 28–33 inch range after topping at the fifth node in a two-gallon container. Mild nitrogen sensitivity was noted, and the grower rated the run intermediate rather than completely hands-off. At this stage, the appeal was already in the combination of a loud sorbet profile, substantial buds throughout the plant and trichome production rated 4/5. The hockey mask could wait; these golf balls already had the grower’s attention.

Grower: SilentJ17

Medium: Coast of Maine seed starter | Lighting: Spider farmer se5000s with uv, it and deep red supplementals and vivosun under canopy lights | Container: 5 gallon gorilla grow bags
Nutes: Dr earth homegrown, dr earth flower girl, recharge, GH silica and calmag
Training: Leaf tucking and defoliation during flower | Cycle: 70-79 days | Height: 46-51 inches (~116-130cm)
Plant Shape / Structure: Pheno 1: 51 inches tall x 30 inches wide, with hairy golf-ball buds. Pheno 2: 42 inches tall x 24 inches wide, with longer, very dense colas.
Yield: Pheno 1 was dried for flower and yielded 103.42 grams and pheno 2 was fresh frozen for hash with 404.55 grams of wet weight washed. A total of 14.32 grams of hash was collected for a %3.54 return.
Aroma: During grow: With 2 phenos grown, I got slightly different terps during flower. My pheno #1 was more sour gassy fruit and pheno #2 had more sweet rubber and savory terps. After harvest: Pheno 1 flower: sour sweet cream and eucalyptus, moving to sour fruit, candy, gas, savoury notes and spice. Pheno 2 rosin: pungent artificial lime, black liquorice and fruit rind with savoury notes.
Effects: Heavy, lasting body relaxation with red eyes, slower speech and increased appetite.
Notes: Intermediate difficulty reported. Hungry from late veg through flower, with substantial stretch. SilentJ17 noted that swelling flowers could leave branches needing support. Trichome production: 5/5; Trim ease: 4/5; Would grow again: 4/5.
SilentJ17’s two Bear Witch Project phenotypes took different paths through the woods, one building hairy golf-ball flowers while the other formed longer, super-dense colas. Both were sizeable plants, with one reaching 51 inches and the other 42 inches, and the grower noted plenty of stretch and flowers heavy enough to leave branches needing support. The flower specimen moved through sour sweet cream and eucalyptus into gassy fruit, candy and spice, while the rosin brought a particularly pungent artificial-lime and black-liquorice character with savoury notes. Both landed heavily for SilentJ17, with lasting body relaxation, red eyes, slower speech and an appetite that could easily take over the evening’s plans. Between the two profiles, losing the map would have been the least surprising part of this trip.

Medium: Coast of main Stonington soil | Lighting: Spiderfarmer se1500 | Container: 3 gallon
Nutes: Reefertilizer
Training: Natural | Cycle: 80-89 days | Height: 22-27inches (~56-70cm)
Plant Shape / Structure: Golf balls on the branches, lots of very dense buds
Yield: 18% return on flower rosin. Most of plant was pressed.
Aroma: During grow: The smells really changed throughout the grow. In the beginning of flower it had a sarsaprilla sweet smell to it that developed into a limey chemical marker type smell. After harvest: Plant was pressed early after harvest, and kept this limey chemical marker type smell that lingers on your tongue.
Effects: Wow this one was a roller coaster. I initially had a super heady giggly want to do everything kind of high. It made me get up and go and supervise productive for about an hour then my eyes got super heavy and I was taking a nap before noon. Perfect for a lazy sunday
Notes: Intermediate difficulty reported; nutrient sensitivity noted. Early mistakes affected the start, but the grower was pleased with the dense flowers and unusual finished profile. Trichome production: 4/5; Trim ease: 5/5; Would grow again: 4/5.
Ancient_Kangaroo_492/DK’s The Hills Have Limes had a sharp citrus surprise waiting over the ridge, starting with sweet sarsaparilla before a lime-and-chemical-marker profile took over. An early start the grower felt could have gone better did not stop the plant finishing with lots of very dense golf-ball buds, and that distinctive lime-marker character remained when most of the plant was pressed into flower rosin. The reported 18% rosin return came with a flavour that lingered on the tongue, making the profile one of the grower’s more memorable recent experiences. The effects were a proper change of pace too, beginning heady, giggly and productive before heavy eyes arrived and the morning ended with a nap. This desert detour at least came with a flavour worth remembering.
And last but not least...

Medium: Living soil | Lighting: 300 watt | Container: 15 gal
Nutes: Build a soil
Training: Natural | Cycle: 70-79 days | Height: 34-39 inches (~86-100cm)
Plant Shape / Structure: Nice big bush
Yield: 124 grams
Aroma: During grow: Initially it kind of smelt like permanent markers, very strong and pungent. Then she started to transition into the classic Cdlc burnt rubber terps followed by an almost sweet nutty aroma. After harvest: The back end you get hints of burnt rubber from the Cdlc mixed with that sweetness from butters breath. Combined with the gmo root beer smells and tastes like an almost sweet root beer but not quite vanilla. Lovely smoke.
Effects: Smells sweet. Tastes cdlc rubber. Balanced high. On the initial hit you get a very nice slow creeping body high that stays consistent and very relaxing. Definitely a feel good strain for a rainy day.
Notes: Novice difficulty reported; JBgrowing found the run easy and particularly enjoyed the sweet, nutty burnt-rubber profile. Trichome production: 5/5; Trim ease: 5/5; Would grow again: 5/5.
JB’s Evil Breath II announced itself from the cellar with a pungent permanent-marker nose, then let burnt rubber and a sweet, nutty note creep into the scene. She grew into a bushy plant with heavy frost, finishing in the reported 70–79 day window with 124 grams recorded. After cure, the rubber stayed prominent alongside sweetness and GMO-style root-beer character, giving the smoke a flavour JB found especially memorable. The effects built more slowly than the aroma arrived, bringing a steady, relaxing body high and a balanced, feel-good headspace that suited a rainy day in JB’s account. That jar had a little cellar-door energy of its own, with the funk doing all the knocking.

Zer0’s From Bucks Till Dawn kept the creature feature compact, growing in a 10-ounce container with bonsai-style LST and a reported finish of 16–21 inches. The little frame still carried good branching and thick, frosty flowers, with sweet aromas and rubber notes sitting off to the side. The grower described her as fairly hands-off overall despite daily training, low light and changes in spectrum and nutrients, and recorded a 90–99 day cycle. With trim ease rated 5/5 and willingness to grow again at 4/5, this report’s character comes from a small-container run that still had plenty of flower and frost to show. A pocket-sized resident of the Titty Twister, still dressed for the late shift.
