Appletizer - A Brand New Release (+ Limited Edition drop and a free strain!)

We aimed to add another hard-hitting indica strain with OG elements that expanded the flavour profiles in our catalogue and produced terps and resin for days, and humbly, I can say that we succeeded. Appletizer packs a punch in terms of potency and will send even the hardiest smokers into a luxurious lullaby. The drop is scheduled for the 14th of October at 12pm UK, 7am Eastern, 4am Pacific. 

Let’s dig straight into things with a little excerpt of the strain-description:

One glance at the Mephisto catalogue to date will tell you all you need to know about how much we love both sweet and fruity strains and that classic OG funk and shape. Appletizer is just the strain we were hoping to create, expanding our options with an all-new flavour profile and handing out nap times like a Jean-Claude Van Damme spin-kick directly to the prefrontal cortex.

We paired Glitter Apples [Alien Genetics] with a tightly held Samsquanch OG F4 specifically set aside for future Artisanal projects. We’ve always been incredibly proud of the Samsquanch project; it’s a productive strain that’s bursting with flavour and has sadly been underutilised by us for breeding work since it was first released.

She’s strong, sedative, sour apple candy flavoured, with a classic bushy indica growth profile.

A New Limited Edition Drop, a free strain and an early-adopter discount!

Along with Appletizer, we’re also introducing a brand new lineup of Limited Editions. A little explanation for those just getting on board the Mephisto train: Originally the Mephisto Genetics Limited Edition line was intended to be a genuine once-and-done Limited Edition offering, which back in the day could have been seeds just from one plant, however as our little company has grown and evolved over the years so did the line and the methodology behind it. As demand grew and we wanted to get these gems into more customers' hands, Limiteds became a further worked strain, taken to F3 with more seeds available. However, we’ve switched up our breeding processes for this new format whereby we’ll release our brand new strain with carefully selected standout hybrids to accompany them.

Apple of Eden
24 Carat x Appletizer
Possibly the best strain in the Mephisto arsenal for getting some rest and recuperation. Expect a shorter, squat plant with fat fan leaves and a smoke that will make you feel like Ezio Auditore da Firenze just spinning-flying dropkicked you from the top of the Campanile di San Marco.

Applerol Spritz
Octane 45 x Appletizer 
Apples, oranges, sweet cream and gas. She ticks all the boxes and we expect a flavour profile to die for. Some training may be required to get this girl to hit her full potential.

Cobbler Crisp
Strawberry Mango Crumble x Appletizer 
We bring the fruit with this one, like toking on some Skittles. We expect a more easy-going variety that will satisfy the cravings of anyone with a sweet tooth.

Deathstar Delicious
Skywalker x Appletizer
We’ve strapped a T-14 hyperdrive generator to that pungent-with-a-capital-P OG, blasting its funk to warp speed. It won’t be long before you feel like we’ve set phasers to stun—lights out will follow shortly after.

Glitter Biscuits
Orange Biscuits x Appletizer 
Sweet and fruity, with a citrus twist, savoury goodies and hints of gas too. A more balanced type of girl, uplifting, insightful and relaxing. Expect a wider stance to her and less hassle getting light to penetrate her canopy than her Appletizer parent, enhancing her potential for larger yields. 

Mashed Manzana
Sundae Thumper x Appletizer
Apple candy, ice cream sundae and gas town all the way. Expect average sized plants with dense bud sites and an aroma filled tent.

Old School Orchard
Old School Mango Haze x Appletizer 
Expect the pine and mango to shine through, with a classic OG twist. Taller, more slender than its sisters across the lineup, we still expect her to pack on the weight well into flower.

Snakebite & Black
Ravenberry x Appletizer 
Snakebite and black is a classic for any regular visitor to a UK pub with a flat roof. A pint of apple cider and a shot of blackcurrant cordial. Expect apples and berries, with a strong sweetness and a gas station forecourt to follow.

Sour Scrumpysquanch
Sour Stomper x Appletizer
Probably the girl I’m most excited for, Sour Stomper has been such a mainstay strain in our catalogue that we know that anything she’s crossed with is guaranteed fire. Expect a thick layer of frost, classic OG stylings and a flavour profile of funk, fruit and fuel.

Tarte Tatin
Iced n Baked x Appletizer 
A supremely sedative smoke, with a terp profile you won’t quite believe. Remaining squat, expect lots of leaf tucking and defoliation earlier than you might usually to keep air flowering through and to allow some light to get through to all the budsites she’s guaranteed to be covered in. 

Treble-tizer
Treble Grape (Double Grape x Grape Crinkle) x Appletizer 
Star of the lineup? I think it’s likely. Expect a full-frontal fruit salad assault on your taste buds and a lively high that settles right into couchlock goodness.

And last but not least…

Bramley Beast
ManBearAlienPig x Appletizer 
Expect a squatter plant with big fan leaves, make sure you keep her trimmed and tidy after her initial growth spurt to allow light penetration and boost yields, which we expect to be on the higher end. A unique flavour profile, with apple candy, fruit and sweet cream with a backdrop of burnt rubber.

Pink Rizzo
Pink Panama x Appletizer 
A more easily manipulated plant; given more space to stretch her legs she’ll do just that. There’s the possibility of pink and purple hues towards the end of flower, with a strong fruit flavour, giving way to earthy dankness and chocolate.
